11/11 - Francisco Soto ('10) and Tom Johnson ('09), competing for Harper College Cross Country, won the Junior College National Championships.  Francisco earned All-American honors with his 7th place overall finish.

10/11 - Paul Geimer ('10).  Check out this article highlighting the Colorado School of Mines Cross Country Team, ranked 3rd nationally in D2.  Paul is running as their #6-#7 as a sophomore, and is the focus of the picture. 

9/11 - Ryan Moncrieff ('11), competing for Miami University (OH), finished in 12th place at the Miami Open.  Ryan's 8K time was 26:24 on the hilly Miami course, food for the team's 5th man.

9/11 - Victor Delatorre ('11), competing for Eastern Illinois University, finished in 16th place in the EIU Walt Crawford Open.  Victor's 8K time was 25:36, good for the team's 5th man.

9/11 - Paul Geimer ('10), competing for D2 Colorado School of the Mines, finished 29th in 19:36 in the Rustbuster 6K, a large invitational in Colorado Springs against a combination of D1, D2, and D3 opponents.  Paul finished as the team's 7th man, and the team placed 2nd overall in the meet.

5/11 - Francisco Soto ('10), competing at Harper College, wins the Junior College National Championship in the 1500m, with a time of 4:01.

2/11 - Francisco Soto ('10) ran a 1:59 indoor 800 while competing for Harper College.

2/11 - Jordan Pavlovich ('10) ran 9:03 in the 3000 while competing for North Central College.

11/10 - David Weathers ('10) is attending the University of Kentucky and participating in the ROTC program.  David recently completed the POW MIA run, which is from Lexington to Frankfurt, totaling 28.8.  David was one of only 6 men to run the entire distance!

11/10 - Jordan Pavlovich ('10) finished his first season on the North Central College Cross Country Team.  Jordan ran a pr 8K of 26:48 (5:21 pace) at the conference meet.

10/10 - Paul Geimer ('10) is closing out his first season on the Colorado School of Mines Cross Country Team.  CSM is currently ranked #3 in the national Division 2 poll, and Paul falls as about their 11th man on the roster.  Paul recently ran a PR 8K of 25:48, a nice 5:09 pace.

10/10 - Terry Nelson ('08) is in his third year of coaching cross country and track at Kingsley Jr. High School in Bloomington, IL.  The highlight of Terry's young coaching career include leading his girls track team to a second place state finish in 2009 and an IESA state track championship in 2010.  Terry coached a young standout named Dee Bird, a 7th grader, who won the 400m dash (Terry's former event) while setting the middle school state meet record.  Terry has also coached sectional championship teams on both boys track and girls track, which included 15 individual qualifiers.

10/10 - Sam Romanoski ('03) has taken the head men's and women's coaching position at Lake Forest College.  He coaches our own Stefano Delauesta ('09), as we as recruit our current seniors to the beautiful Lake Forest College campus.

8/10 - Colin Schofield ('08) will be studying in Chile for a semester, while he earns his 2nd major in Spanish.  Colin continues to compete as a pole vaulter on the Illinois Wesleyan Track Team.

7/10 - Braxton Klavins ('10) placed 7th in the 400m dash at the USATF National Championships in Sacramento California.  Braxton ran a personal record 48.42 in qualifying for the event.  Braxton will continue his track career next spring at the University of Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.

4/10 - Tom Johnson ('09) is competing as a freshman on the Harper College Track Team, running middle distance 400s and 800s.  Tom has PRs of 2:01 in the 800 and 52 in the 400.  Tom has qualified for the National Meet, held in Maryland.

9/09 - Jake Paulus ('09) competed in his first race as a member of the North Central Cross Country Team.  Jake ran 6K in 21:45.

9/09 - Gerardo Perez ('09), competed in his first cross country race as an Illinois State Redbird.  Gerardo placed 10th in the Illini Challenge, and was the 2nd finisher on Illinois State's squad.

11/08 - Sam Romanoski, '02, has graduated from Loyola University, where he competed on the cross country and track teams.  Sam now works on the Dick Pond Racing Team.

11/08 - Mickey Stott, '08, and LZXC '07 captain, finished his freshman season at UW Stout as their #7 varsity runner.  Mickey ran a personal best 8K time of 27:16.  Mickey has already begun training for track, and recently ran a 1600m time trail, indoors, in a personal best 4:27.

9/08 - Colin Schofield ('08) - Colin is running cross country for Illinois Wesleyan.

9/08 - Mickey Stott ('08) - Mickey is running cross country for University of Wisconsin Stout.  As a Freshman, he ran as the team's 6th man at the Augustana Invitational, completing the 8K course in just over 31 minutes.  Mickey also competed in the famous Roy Griak Invitational, finishing in 28:30, and as Stout's 5th man.

4/08 - Joe Scheck ('06)- Joe's recently ran a solid 2:05, for Augie, and continues to improve as he recovers from injury.

2/08 - Dave Antczak( '07), a freshman on the Illinois State Track Team, ran an indoor PR 2:04.0 800m at the Bob Keck Invitational on Febraury 8th.  Dave is overcoming a lingering hamstring injury that developed during his senior season at Lake Zurich and reemerged this winter.  Dave aspires to make the Varsity squad on a Distance Relay team.

10/07 - Matt Zak, '07, is in his Freshmen year at the University of Notre Dame.  Matt is staying in shape as a member of the Navy ROTC while running intramural cross country.  Matt recently ran a 16:30 3-mile, which placed him in the top 20. 

5/07 - Justin Lohman, '06, is competing for the Benedictine University (Kansas) track and football teams.  Justin is running the 4x100 and 4x400 for Benedictine.

1/07 - PJ Celaya, '06, as a member of the Western Illinois Mile Relay Team, ran 3:25 indoors at a meet at the University of Iowa, placing second only to the University of Iowa.

10/06 - PJ Celaya, '06, is competing for the Western Illinois Track Team.  PJ placed first at Western Illinois' indoor 600m time trial, held in fall 2006 with a time of 1:27.1.  PJ aspires to run on the team's mile relay this track season.  A complete Western Illinois Roster can be found at this link:

5/07 - Joe Scheck, '06, is competing for the Augustana Cross Country and Track Teams, focusing on the 800m dash in track.  He will also run the 3000m steeplechase during the outdoor season.

11/06 - Matt Nagel, '06, is competing for the Augustana Cross Country and Track Teams.  Matt ran a 5-mile PR in cross country of 31:06 as a Freshman, and hopes to break his 4:53 PR this year during track.
